When those first dutchmen sailed up the Swan River Estuary, they could not believe their eyes. Black swans! Who ever heard of such a thing. Every one knows swans are white, right?

Well, actually, no. We are very proud to be black and beautiful. We have long graceful necks, and we are very quiet and we love the peaceful ambience of the water and the lake.

We just like to be different.
