Green Tree Python |
Cat. No. GD11650 |
|
I like to slither around the foliage at night looking for
little rodents to eat...yum! I sleep during the day and my favorite past time
is coiling around tree branches. I have these thermosensory pits that help me
determine if anyone is near. They tell me if they are hot or cold blooded. I'm
not sure why, but some Green Tree Pythons are blue or even yellow. Not me...I
like being green! Here are some interesting facts about myself I thought
you might like to know:
Scientists call me: Morelia
viridis

I usually live: humid, warm tropical regions mostly on
the tip of Cape York
Breeding:season lasts from late
August to late December and the eggs are laid in late November to February.

ground. The incubation period is from 39 to 65 days.
