| This part enables a fitting with a larger thread (1" BSP) to connect to a tap with a smaller thread (3/4" BSP). It is supplied with most Moss Tap fittings so that you can attach it to any tap in your garden. Examples: 4-Way-Flo, Two-Way-Flo, Tap Nut. | |
| Be aware however, that taps (and piping) are often specified by a nominal
internal bore size, which is not related to the thread size. For example, what is often referred to as a "1/2 inch tap", often has an external 3/4" thread on it. What is often referred to as a "3/4 inch tap", usually comes with an external thread of 1". However, in different states and countries, the tap thread size may differ. Some regions have a thread of 1" on ALL taps, regardless of size. You will find this part very useful when you find you have a tap fitting that won't fit your tap. See also Moss Threaded Bush G222. |
