Full Circle Misting Spray

G310-Q and G310

Misting Spray attached to rafter.
This Sprayhead was designed to give a very fine Misting spray for overhead use in greenhouses.

It is made of solid metal, with a built-in filter and a 1/2 inch BSP thread for attachment to Moss Threaded bases.
If you want to lower the sprayhead, use a Moss Extension Tube (G53).
With water pressures up to 150 KPa, this sprayhead operates as a type of Microspray.
To get the misting action fully working you must have the water pressure over 200 KPa, to generate sufficient nozzle speed to atomise the water droplets.
At 250 KPa the radius of the mist will be about 2 metres, and the output will be 2.3 litres/min with a precipitation rate of 5 mm/hr.
{Full circle spray pattern showing the 'radius'.}
The mist generated by this spray is extremely even but, as could be expected, it will not work if subjected to a breeze.

The two-piece misting nozzles can be easliy removed for occasional cleaning.

Detailed Performance Data

The chart below gives the Misting Spray Output and Radius at different operating pressures.

G310 Performance when Misting
Pressure Output Radius of Spray
KPa litre/min metres
200 1.9 1.9
250 2.3 2.0
300 2.5 2.1
Because this spray head needs to work at over 200 KPa to give a good mist, you should not put other types of sprayhead on the same length of tubing.

It is a good idea to fit a Moss In-line Filter (G415-Q) before the Misting Sprayheads to reduce blockages.
