Watering Systems : Handy Hints and Installation Guide |
| Moss Click-On fittings are designed to achieve a very firm grip
on the hose so they will not blow off under high water pressure. Follow these
steps carefully to achieve a good seal. Firstly remove the flexible sleeve and its metal threaded nut from the fitting as shown. |

| Inside the nut, at the end of the sleeve is a ring of flexible teeth which bite into the outside surface of the hose and lock it securely in place. | ![]() |
| Push the hose through the sleeve and past this row of teeth. | ![]() |
| Now pick up the other part of the fitting. You will notice that it has a circular stem section protruding from the base and a hollow groove around it. This stem must be located well into the inside of the hose to get a good seal. |

| Push the hose on firmly until it reaches the end of the
groove. With some hoses you might find that it is quite tight, but it is important for a good tight seal that you push it all the way home. If it is very tight, you can soften the end of the hose by dunking it in some hot water for a short time. |
