Watering Systems : Handy Hints and Installation Guide

How to make a Slo-Flo water ring

A most effective way to water many plants and containers is to form the Slo-Flo hose into a ring.

Water drips will seep out all around the ring reaching the whole root system.

A Slo-Flo water ring

Cut a length of Moss Slo-Flo hose so that when it is formed into a loop it will spread the water around the planter. Don't make it so large that it will touch the sides.

Create the loop with a Moss Tee Joiner and connect it to a feeder tube made of Polytube.

For 5mm tube, use a Moss 5mm Tee

For 13mm tube use a Moss 13mm Tee

For planters like this, the feeder tube can leave through the holes in the side, or else go over the lip behind the plants where it will be almost invisible.

Size to fit planter
For a hanging basket you can leave the water ring above the potting mix and let the plants grow up around it.

Alternatively, you can bury it under the potting mix.

When the water is turned on, it will drip slowly and consistently from the ring, watering the whole of the planter. Water drips from the ring.
