Technical Data Moss Slo-Flo

The chart at the right shows how much water will be emitted from each metre of Moss Slo-Flo hose depending on the water pressure.

As can be seen, the Slo-Flo hose will function quite well at a pressure as low as 20 KPa (about 3 psi), giving out 0.3 and 0.6 litre/m/min from the 5mm and 13mm Slo-Flo hoses respectively.

At 100 KPa (15psi) the corresponding outputs are 1.3 and 1.7 litre/m/min

Output vs Pressure

How can we use this data?

Take as an example an installation of 4 metres of 13mm Slo-Flo hose watering a garden bed, which is supplied water through a Moss Filter/Regulator for a period of 5 minutes. What is the water flow rate, and how much water will be applied to the garden bed ?

We know that the Moss Filter Regulator has an output pressure of about 100 KPa. From the chart above, we find that the output of 13mm Slo-Flo hose at 100 KPa is 1.7 litre per metre per minute. So the water flow rate from 4 metres of Slo-Flo hose will be 1.7 X 4=6.8 litres/min. So the amount of water applied to the garden bed will be 6.8 litres/min X 5 minutes=34 litres.
